Our report following a visit at Leylands Residential Care Home, it is a converted house, residential care home for older people located on the Penn Road. It provides residential care for 21 residents where accommodation is provided on two floors. The home provides care for people with Dementia, Learning Disability / Autism, Mental Health Condition, Physical Disability, Visual / Hearing Impairment, Permanent Care, Respite Care, Alcohol / Drug Misuse.

We surveyed local care home managers by phone to gain an understanding of the current state of audiology care for residents. We also asked a series of questions regarding earwax removal services.

Our report following a visit to Atholl House Nursing, located on Richmond Road in the Compton area of Wolverhampton. Accommodation comprises of 84 single rooms over three floors, each with its own dining room and lounge. The home provides both nursing and dementia care.

We have been hearing from people awaiting a diagnosis for autism. Concerns are being raised regarding extremely long waiting times for diagnosis and a lack of support and communication while awaiting a diagnosis.

Our report following a visit to the Wrottesley Park House Care Home, located on Wergs Road in Wolverhampton. It currently utilises the ground floor with 59 en-suite beds. The home provides both nursing and residential specialist care for young adults, including those challenging behaviour, physical and/or learning disabilities.

In response to concerns about access to GP services in the city, we have been tracking the quality and consistency of GP phone booking systems for some time and reporting on areas of improvement.
