World Suicide Prevention Day

Today is World Suicide Prevention Day
In 2019 there were 5,691 recorded suicides in England and Wales.
Suicidal thoughts are more common than you might think, 1 in 5 people will experience suicidal thoughts in their lifetime.
Sadly the suicide rate has increased during covid-19, and many more people are being affected by mental ill health.
Zero Suicide Alliance has free resources and training available to help people spot the signs and better support people that they may have concerns about.
