Have you downloaded the NHS COVID App?

The new Covid-19 app is a vital part of the national test and trace programme and the fight against COVID-19.

The app also allows people to report symptoms and book a coronavirus test and features a handy countdown timer for people who have been asked to self-isolate, so that they can keep track of when their self-isolation period is due to end.

The app can also send you exposure notifications, using Bluetooth to see if you have been in close contact with someone else who is also using the app and has reported symptoms.

The more of us that use it, the better we can control coronavirus.

Business should also display a QR code on their premises, allowing you to scan it using the app, this checks you into the location allowing you to be contacted easily should there be a cluster of COVID-19 cases at the site, meaning you may have to self-isolate.

If you haven’t already, you can download the NHS COVID APP via iTunes or Google Play App stores.
