Healthwatch Wolverhampton is the independent champion for local people’s voices in health and social care across the City. This service is delivered by Engaging Communities Staffordshire CIC (ECS), a Community Interest Company that also delivers nine other Healthwatch contracts.

Salary: £24,000 per annum
Work Pattern: 37 hours per week including some evenings/weekends

About this role
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our staff team as an Information Engagement Lead.
Healthwatch is the independent champion for people who use health and social care services and is here to find out what matters to people and help make sure their views shape the support they need. Do you have excellent communication skills? Are you able to easily start conversations with new people you meet? Do you have a passion for empowering people and helping them to have their voices heard? Do you have good knowledge of the local communities and groups/organisations that are within Wolverhampton? Are you flexible? Are you able to empower and upskill volunteers to support our work? Are you an organiser?
If you do know Wolverhampton well, are awesome at striking up conversations and are passionate about empowering people then this may be the role for you.
As an Engagement Information Lead, you will use your strong networking and relationship building skills to identify and recruit volunteers who can support in our Enter and View programme of work as well as other engagement/outreach opportunities.
You will spend time working with the Community Outreach Lead planning engagement events. Planning Enter and View visits and supporting and managing the volunteers. The role will entail working some evenings/weekends to ensure that we are engaging with the communities at a time and venue that suits them, this could also include attending events on weekends. You will have respective time off.
You will work with the Healthwatch Wolverhampton team, to develop a vibrant programme of creative activities, events and projects which will provide opportunities for local people to influence the development and shaping of health and care services.
This is an incredible opportunity for a pro-active person to have a direct impact on shaping health and social care in Wolverhampton that will improve the lives of local people.
