What do we want to know?
We want to hear from people using adult social care services in Wolverhampton to get a better understanding of their experiences. We want to know the types of services residents are receiving, how well these services work together, and where there might be room for improvement.
We will be working closely with One Wolverhampton to gather this feedback from the community through an online survey and in-person conversations at focus groups.
Why are we asking?
Adult social care plays a vital role in the lives of local people and it matters that services work well for everyone who relies on them. From the intelligence we gather, and through our ongoing engagement and partnership work, we know there are important issues and experiences that need to be heard. This review provides a timely opportunity to ensure local voices shape the transition to integrated neighbourhood services in Wolverhampton.
This work is also part of building a stronger partnership between Healthwatch Wolverhampton and statutory services.
How will your feedback make a difference?
One Wolverhampton is a collaboration of health, social care, voluntary, and community organisations working to drive the delivery of key health and social care ambitions within the city. Their priorities for 2025-26 include the development of Integrated Neighbourhood Teams (INTs) to better meet individual needs through closer working of services.
We will analyse the feedback we gather to develop an initial look into how we can create smoother care services for adults in Wolverhampton through a community-based approach.
