A Christmas Bubble is different to a Support Bubble or Child Care Bubble, they each have their own specific rules.
These rules are law and you must follow them to minimise the spread of COVID-19.
You are also asked to think carefully before forming a Christmas bubble and consider alternatives such as using technology to see each other.
The three main rules for Christmas bubbles are:
- You can only be in one Christmas bubble
- You can not change or swap your Christmas bubble
- Your Christmas bubble can not include people from more that three households
One Christmas bubble includes your household, and only two other households making a total of three households.
You can not change these households on different days to see more people during this time. You must stick to your original bubble.
Everyone is allowed to form a Christmas bubble unless your are self-isolating.
