World Mental Health Day 2020

Recognised by the World Health Organisation, World Mental Health Day 2020 is on 10 October every year. This year’s Mental Health Day comes at a time when we have all be affected by recent challenges. Feedback from our Covid-19 survey showed that 91% of respondent’s Mental Health had been affected by the pandemic. 

On 9 October 2020 we are hosting a Mental Health Day Coffee Morning. Join us via Zoom at 11am. We will also be supporting the #HelloYellow campaign to encourage young people to speak about their mental health, why not wear something yellow to show your support?

What else is happening locally?

Black Country Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust will be hosting a free webinar on Friday (9 October) from 1pm to 2.30pm where you can find out more about support available and take a journey through mental health services. To sign up, please email bchft.communications@nhs.net

Samaritans 

If you need to speak to someone, whatever you are going through, Samaritans are there 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Contact them here or call on 116 123. 

Black Country NHS Foundation Trust Helpline 

Black Country NHS Foundation Trust have launched a 24 hour/7 days a week helpline number. They encourage you to pick up the phone and speak to someone for support and to not suffer in silence. Call 0345 6460827 – press 1 in you live in Sandwell or Wolverhampton and press 2 if you live in Dudley or Walsall.

Healthy Minds

Wolverhampton Healthy Minds offers psychological therapy services for people experiencing common mental health problems such as low mooddepressionanxiety and stress. If you are 16 or over, live in Wolverhampton or are registered with a Wolverhampton GP, we can help.

Call the service on 0800 923 0222 or 01902 441 856, 9am to 4:30pm Monday to Friday (except Bank Holidays)

Rethink
Rethink Emotional Support Helpline is a freephone service for those who are in need of support, reassurance and understanding.

The service can be contacted on 0808 802 2208 at the following times:

Monday- Friday 6.00pm – 3.00am

Saturday- Sunday 2.00pm – 3.00am
