Mental Health Awareness Week – Share Your Stories With Us
This week is Mental Health Awareness Week (18-24 May).
This years focus is acts of kindness, towards others and ourselves and we will be celebrating acts of kindness throughout the week.
Despite the current situation, there is still a huge amount of kindness being shown in our communities, and we also need to be kind to ourselves. Be that dropping of prescriptions to the vulnerable or simply turning off the news for our mental health or texting a friend letting them how much you appreciate them. It all adds up.
At Healthwatch, we have acted as a listening ear and helped to deliver prescriptions to the vulnerable across Wolverhampton. We have shared advice to people needing an outlet which has led to one person setting up an online social group. This social group has not only brought people together but helped the individuals mental health. We have also been there for each other as a team.
We will be sharing examples of our acts of kindness throughout the week, but we would also like to share your stories.
