WOLVERHAMPTON HEALTH ADVOCACY COMPLAINTS SERVICE (WHACS)
WHACS, delivered by Healthwatch Wolverhampton provides practical advocacy support and information to people who want to complain about an NHS service. It
is funded by City of Wolverhampton Council, for Wolverhampton citizens.
Advocacy provides practical support and information to people who want to complain about an NHS service.
It also supports people who want to make a complaint on someone else’s behalf.
The service aims to help people understand what their options are and to support them through the NHS complaints process to ensure they get the best possible
resolution. Every person who accesses the service will have diﬀerent needs and every complaint is diﬀerent which is why the service adapts the approach it takes to each case and tailors the support it provides to meet individual needs.
You decide the level of support you need and an advocate will work with you to
ensure you get the best possible outcome to your complaint.
PATIENT ADVICE AND LIAISON SERVICE (PALS)
PALS provides confidential help to help patients make a complaint.
WISH TO COMPLAIN ABOUT A LOCAL HEALTH SERVICE?
A complaint may be as a result of the way treatment or care has been provided to a patient or how a service has been managed. It may also relate to the attitude and behaviour of staff.
111 is a new telephone service brought to you by the NHS.
It is the number you should call when you need advice or medical treatment quickly, and you cannot wait for an appointment to see your doctor.
